Euro Trip...

I'd always wanted to go to Italy.. It's been my life's dream to see Michelangelo's David.
Finally i was able to fulfil that dream.
Prashant and I planned this trip for 2 months.. originally chris was supposed to come with us... but he had to go India and could not make it.
Anyways.. Prash and I booked out tickets and made reservations in Paris, Rome and Florence.. but only for the first 6 days.. we thought that we'd take it as it comes and just see how it goes !.
Finally the day came (May 24''th 2008) and we caught a taxi to Luton airport to start with out journey.
We'd planned the journey as we both were interested in art and wanted to catch as much art as possible in our trip.
we first landed in Charles De Gaulle airport Paris and found out that the signs were helpfully in 2 languages.. we figured out that SORTIE` means exit.. yay !! our first French word in Paris.. we'd hammed up on a couple of other phrases like Merci` , Merci Beau coup etc which would help us in being polite to french people. not all people speak french all the time there... not a lot of people respond back to you in English..maybe it's just the way it is...We caught the Roissy bus to the center of Paris... The Opera and straightaway were amazed at the architecture... Paris was very modern and very colourful...in London we were used to see people in various shaded in black.. .always black, grey and dark blues morose colurs like the weather there... but Paris was much more colourful.
Straightaway we could see that this Country had the Cafe culture imbibed in the people... everywhere you could see cafes on the streets.. you'd see a minimum of 10 cafes in the streets and all the delicious stuff to eat !..
